Art Exclusive, inspiring, beautiful
Art Exclusive, inspiring, beautiful
For her third New York City hotel, Kit Kemp curated the best from her own art collection, while also commissioning her favorite artists and sculptors to create original pieces.
Always bold, never frantic, the intersection of craft, art, and design is magical throughout the hotel. In the lobby, one is immediately drawn to an installation of woven baskets by Argentinian artist Cristián Mohaded. Here, too, one finds a true tapestry of wonder thanks to the colorful, ornamental beadwork of Ugandan artist Sanaa Gateja. Also in the lobby, a wooden table by Christopher Kurtz beautifully invokes skipping stones piled one upon the other, while the Drawing Room and beyond also present inspiring works of art.
Food & Drink Local meets global
Presenting the classic-style menu of a neighborhood brasserie, Warren Street Bar & Restaurant ups the pleasures, serving dishes infused with global influences.
The space is a celebration of color and creativity, presenting rich interiors filled with character. Here, you will discover a 30-foot-long pewter bar augmented by a large sculpture from artist Gareth Devonald Smith. Indeed, contemporary works of art can be found throughout the restaurant, which leads to a romantic Orangery with its whimsical collection of British craft.
