In keeping with the neighborhood’s industrial history, the hotel sits behind a minimalist, industrial façade.

Floor-to-ceiling warehouse windows nod to the iconic SoHo loft look, while sustainable materials and energy-efficient technology make Crosby Street Hotel one of the most environmentally responsible hotels in the entire U.S., hence their Gold LEEDS (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.

Unusual pieces of original art spark Kit Kemp’s design process.

No surprise, then, that the centerpiece of the Crosby Street Hotel lobby is a stunning work by Scottish paper cutout artist Jack Milroy. To create the hotel’s singular look, Kemp also collaborated with such top British designers as Christopher Farr Cloth and Andrew Martin. But don’t expect a transatlantic transport of Kemp’s original English style; the Crosby Street Hotel achieves an American flair without abandoning its British roots via Kemp’s collaborations with local designers and artisans.
