Architecture Kollin Altomare Architects
The visionaries at Kollin Altomare Architects rose to a difficult challenge: Honor and preserve the work of legendary architect Welton Beckett, while at the same time completely reimagining the original structure, from top to bottom. The result is a masterpiece of conservancy and creativity. Oversized windows and a patterned façade give way to playful color blocking that adds depth and dimension to rooms and corridors, while low daybeds frame expansive views.
Interior design Studio Collective
Warm wood tones combine with pale blues and whites to create a soothing environment that includes playful sliding bathroom barndoors and pops of color, while sisal carpets add to the beachy feel of the rooms. Artwork and murals by local and national artists set an inspired tone, as does custom-made furniture from Jay Edwards and lights from Ashley Lighting. Bathrooms clad in pale-blue tiles recall the nearby Pacific, while lush plants and casual teak furniture surround the pool and upper-level deck and bar.
