Clements chose to tuck the structure into a sandstone outcropping, sourcing local materials and handpicking the massive Douglas fir posts and redwood elements that define it. The low profile of the building honors the beauty of the coastline and accentuates the stunning ocean views from nearly every corner of the unique A-frame designed hotel, which itself is filled with local artwork.

Modern pieces interact with retro furniture, worn leather, heritage-colored fabrics, and preppy plaids. Bright and open, with a playful soul, the interiors showcase strong wood accents, complementing the bold contemporary décor and local artwork throughout. Imbibing the California lifestyle, the hotel allows guests to listen to an enviable vinyl collection in their rooms or explore the incredible nature outside.
