The former bank that houses Hotel Cort is now more than a hundred years old.
That’s relatively young compared to Palma’s 17th-century town hall, which sits on the other side of the square, but the hotel does share some of the same features, such as the delicate stone moldings that edge the windows and the elegant sandstone balconies.
Interior design Contemporain
Subtle nods to Scandinavia’s maritime history can be found in the rooms, with maps on the walls and timber boards underfoot.
Working with the old bank’s architectural idiosyncrasies, rather than against them, interior designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán gave each area of the hotel its own distinct blend of styles. In the bathrooms and private lounges, quality materials like leather, marble, and local linen complement the hotel’s homey yet indulgent feel.
