In its new avatar, the Izumi house has an open-air hot spring bath and a sauna, and you can spend your time with a panoramic view of the majestic mountains and rice fields. In autumn, winter and spring, you can appreciate the sea of clouds that appear on sunny mornings. The sensitive restoration and art curation was carried out by Mitsuyoshi Miyazaki of HAGISTUDIO, while Toru Iwasa, creative director and CEO of Jiyujin Hotels, took charge of overall direction and planning. Expect to see contemporary artworks by Yasutaka Fukuda, Ryo Shimizu, and Reiko Kinoshita. The fully equipped space comes with a kitchenette, bar, and dining area. There is also an indoor hot spring bath on the first floor and a shower on the second. The house can accommodate up to 7 people.
The House Kiroku is a serene retreat blending tradition and comfort. The main bedroom is on the first floor, with a second bedroom in the open loft above. A small children's room with futons allows the main house to accommodate up to six guests, and renting the adjacent annex increases capacity to 14.
Near the sacred Kiroku Shrine, dedicated to celestial maidens like Amanohata no Mikoto and Konohanasakuya-hime, the property—once a Shinto priest’s residence—is surrounded by ancient keyaki and cedar trees. It features a soothing Japanese cypress bathtub (please note it is not a hot spring).

The interior and furniture, such as beds, are designed by students enrolled in the laboratory. Because of the sloping ceiling, the upper part is open and the opening feeling is outstanding. The magnificent scenery can be viewed from the private balcony and open-air bath.
Creators stay for a long time and concentrate on creative activities. A couple who is active in the front line of business enjoys vacation while bringing in work. It is a room designed with such a concept. The living room and bedroom are separated gently so that one person can work and the other can rest. The working desk on the north side of the living room is a single sheet of zelkova, with a view of the forest from the light-stable north side window. Write a plan, write a diary, bring your favorite book and read it. The private balcony has an open-air bath. I'd be happy if you could use "a little hot spring if you get stuck with ideas".
This room is ideal for a trip with friends and a girls' party. For those who say "hot springs are still tatami," there are three beds in tatami rooms. It is a studio, but space other than bed is spacious. You can also talk around the coffee table. Of course, it is OK to put an extra bed in this space and stay with 4 people. In that case, please talk in a public space such as a lounge.
Modern houses often lack tatami rooms, for the reason that Japanese-style rooms are difficult to use. Originally, a Japanese-style room is functional and can be both a living room and a bedroom, but for Japanese who are accustomed to beds, sofas and tables, sitting and sleeping on tatami may be `` restless '' Hmm. So, in this room, I arranged the bed while keeping the floor material on tatami, and put the chair "Tatone", which is like a cushion, and put solid Italian furniture when sitting. "I really want to relax on tatami at the hot springs." In that case, lie down on the floor, and when you drink tea, sit down on Tatone. It is such a "good child" room.
A spacious twin room located inside the renovated old stone storehouse in front of the main entrance. (If you have visited us before, you probably remember this building.) Since the building is separate from the Reception Hall and the other guest rooms, you can relax quietly without worrying about making noise or hearing noise from other rooms. The spa-bath is also roomier.
