Interior design Studio Biquadra
Contemporary minimalism meets historical elegance at Parkhotel Mondschein, where the look of Italian film from the early 1960s is augmented by world-class artwork.
The hotel’s unique tree-filled, parklike setting in the middle of Bolzano’s old town forms an oasis of peace that carries over to interiors defined by the works of internationally celebrated artists, oak floors, walnut furniture, and fabrics with colors that echo those of the park. The interplay of warm, earthy terracotta tones and the greens of the surrounding nature form the hotel’s inviting color scheme.
Architecture Studio Biquadra
Originally built in the 14th century, the structure that houses the hotel was extended in 1890 in the Belle Époque style, with wide corridors, high ceilings, and stucco decoration.
Sustainability was a driving force in bringing the hotel to life, with existing materials utilized wherever possible. The building’s long history and many combined styles form the basis of its design concept. Major architectural modes from the Middle Ages and the beginning of the 20th century are present, as are architectural fixtures from the 1950s and 1960s. The heart of the hotel is a bar that has direct access to the park and an outdoor lounging area where you will discover an elegant pool embraced by a stylish garden.
