Once a family home, this intimate retreat is comprised of bungalows and a villa built around traditional structures.

Within the main house, you’ll find four bedrooms, a large entrance hall, an unfussy kitchen, and an elegant living room with breathtaking garden and rice paddy views. The structures are low to the ground, crafted in wood, stone, and handmade tiles, and enhanced with subtle contemporary touches to ensure comfort while keeping their soul intact. To further strengthen the identity of the property, the designer emphasized the colonial influence that shaped much of Bali’s architectural landscape; the main building reflects this spirit with high ceilings, iron structures, and vintage-inspired details, reinterpreted in a contemporary key.

The hotel’s tone is earthy and muted, creating the perfect canvas upon which to contrast antiquities with a contemporary spirit. Wooden beams, handmade tiles, and stone details blend harmoniously with refined design accents. The decor is warm and authentic, with open, home-like spaces where heritage and modern influences coexist naturally. Custom-made furnishings by Warisan, a Bali-based brand renowned for handcrafted pieces using local materials and sustainable practices, are balanced by those sourced from antiques dealers around Bali and Java. Three artists (two Balinese and one Spanish) contributed inspiring works in the main hotel, while the villa presents both local artwork and pieces repatriated from Europe.

Maharasa restaurant serves heritage Indonesian/modern cuisine, with ingredients sourced from its garden and rice fields, as well as local markets ensuring a true farm-to-table experience.
