Beautiful interior design blends original details with soft textures and surfaces.

An adjacent spa with massage treatments and saunas offers relaxation in the city.

The atrium’s monstrous green industrial machine from the building’s past life as a power station makes for a truly unique stay in Hamburg.

Just to the northwest of Mitte, Hamburg’s Bahrenfeld neighborhood offers suburban serenity mixed with slowed-down luxury. Many fine restaurants dot the neighborhood, and a steady mix of traditional German pubs and swank wine and cocktail bars attract young professionals.

Architecture Architekten Lange & Partner
a sensitive conversion to a hotel was required of Hamburg architect Klaus Peter Lange. Rising to the occasion, he integrated the machine into the design of the atrium lobby, in which a bridge leading to the guestrooms is suspended overhead. Natural light bathes the atrium and gold leaf adorns the front desk, above which an old tower clock has stopped telling time.

and slick and simple furniture. Fine walnut wood trimmings, tall casement windows, and unmasked concrete walls garnish lofts and suites, while propeller-headed ceiling fans pay homage to the many mechanical devices once whirring away in the power-station.

Mangold Restaurant
Mangold restaurant reflects the hotel’s design with original brick walls and an open-plan dining area. An all-day menu presents fresh, original surprises that will spark even the most discerning gourmet's interest.

Cosy Spa Saunas and more
At Cosy Spa, adjacent to the hotel, guests can book a sauna, a steam bath, and a wide range of massage treatments in advance.
