Location
At one time the Celts occupied the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park in northeastern Saarland and the forest here still houses stone relics from this era. The Celtic ring wall in Otzenhausen, just 12 kilometers from the hotel, is well worth seeing, as is the beautiful old town of Sankt Wendel. The medieval castle of Schloss Oberstein is situated in the Birkenfeld district and opens to visitors from April to October. Alte Völklinger Hütte, an hour from the hotel, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site offering up cultural activities and the most significant, completely preserved smelting works of the 19th/20th century.
