Breathtaking lake views and the surrounding landscape convey a sense of genius loci—the unique soul of this inspiring place where relaxation and creativity meet.

Seasonal vegetables, fruit, herbs, and flowers—many grown in the estate’s greenhouse, raised beds, and orchard—set the tone for each dish.

The idyllic Garten Spa is surrounded by nature and offers a Finnish sauna, a sanarium, massage treatments, and a relaxation area with soothing views.

Location
Seegut Zeppelin occupies a rare and quietly spectacular position on the shores of Lake Constance: a four-hectare park estate with direct, uninterrupted lake access—no road, no promenade, just trees, water, and horizon. The hotel is tucked into the residential and natural enclave of Friedrichshafen-Fischbach, with its own small private harbor and lakeside lawn. Despite its retreat-like setting, Seegut Zeppelin is only 10 minutes from Friedrichshafen Airport and even closer to the famous Zeppelin Museum, nodding to the airship legacy that inspired the hotel’s name. The region is a crossroads of cultures—Germany, Austria, and Switzerland meet here—and is ideally placed for excursions by foot, bike, boat, or train. Discover amusement parks, like the Ravensburger Spieleland, great museums, historic castles, and thermal spas nearby.

Architecture Plösser Architekten
Seegut Zeppelin is a respectful transformation of a historic villa and the addition of new buildings, all carefully placed within a protected landscape. At the heart of the property stands an early-20th-century villa, originally designed by renowned German urban planner and architect Theodor Fischer. While the exterior remained untouched, the villa’s interior was subtly adapted to preserve its historic spirit while making room for contemporary hospitality. Surrounding this central structure, a small ensemble of new buildings was conceived to vanish into the landscape rather than frame it. Their dark wooden façades blend into the forest edge, forming a quiet visual counterpoint to the light plaster of the historic Villa Gminder.
Interior design Linie Zweii
Rooted in contemporary, Alpine-inflected minimalism, with lime-plastered walls, fir wood, and natural textiles, the design creates an atmosphere that feels both grounded and timeless. The aesthetic draws inspiration from the discipline of reduction, as found in architectural dialogues between Central Europe and Japan. There is a deep respect for texture over color, light over ornament, mood over motif. Details are not added, they are discovered: the grain of the fir, the uneven texture of hand-applied plaster, the acoustics of linen curtains. Nothing is polished. Everything is invitingly imperfect. The tones remain intentionally neutral, but not cold: off-white, chalk, clay, linen, smoke. The result is a visual and emotional language best described as “still luxury”. It’s a quiet confidence in the power of less.

Meetings Inspiring spaces
The hotel has eight fully equipped rooms that are ideal for conferences, workshops, and seminars, as well as three charming boardrooms that are perfect for strategic meetings and creative brainstorming sessions—all with magnificent views of the garden or the lake and the majestic Swiss Alps, allowing groups to work in an inspiring environment.
Restaurant Pinus Naturally good
The focus is on vegetarian cuisine, but fish and meat appear as subtle accents, chosen from trusted regional suppliers and prepared with the same respect given to the produce. House ferments, broths, and pickles add depth. Menus are designed for the entire table to share, and every course is created with with natural wines, cocktails, or the kitchen’s own nonalcoholic infusions in mind. The result is food that feels fresh, generous, and quietly rooted in place.

Lobby Bar Social center
A warm and inviting meetings spot, the hotel's Lobby Bar is the perfect spot to reflect on the beauty of the surroundings—and perhaps meet a new friend.
