The stunning interiors present visual trickery and inspiring, imaginative touches throughout.

Optical illusions in high-quality materials feature inside, with mirrors, skeuomorphs, and trompe-l’œil combining to bemuse onlookers throughout. In one suite the walls are painted black and the parquet oak floor has been stained to match, while in The White Lounge a woolen carpet portrays a classical French ceiling.

Architecture Glory reborn

With a Haussmann-era façade, the townhouse—owned by La Maison des Centraliens—was carefully renovated with a close eye on historical details.

The architects enhanced and dramatized the historic features, while respecting the heritage of the building. The show begins in the lobby where the decor is like a succession of stage sets blending different styles and eras harmoniously.
