Architecture Festen

Hotel Rochechouart France Architecture

Architecture Festen

In this fully restored 1920s Art Deco gem, vintage charm blends with modern comfort to create a cinematic atmosphere.

Sculpted arches, mosaic floors, and dramatic curves were restored or reimagined to echo the hotel’s original elegance. The building’s iconic façade was preserved, with the overall mood paying tribute to the Paris of the 1930s. The lobby’s marble staircase, vintage glass elevator, and curated library evoke the charm of a grand Parisian residence with a twist of Pigalle flair. From the hotel’s upper floors and rooftop, one can take in 360-degree views of Paris, from Montmartre to the Eiffel Tower.

Interior design Festen

Geometric patterns, rich materials like brass and velvet, and a retro color palette bring a nostalgic feel straight from the 1920s and 1930s.

With its design, Festen avoids falling into the Art Deco cliché, honoring the style without overdoing it. Colors like moss green, ochre, terra cotta, tobacco, and deep reds bring a nostalgic, cinematic feel that revives the splendor and elegance of the Belle Époque style. In partnership with La Galerie Française, the hotel features curated vintage and contemporary artwork, from 19th-century drawings to 1980s photographs. The restaurant is a restored Art Deco jewel, with original blue-and-gold mosaic flooring, custom-designed furniture, sculptural arches, and rust-colored banquettes that mirror the 1930s aesthetic.
