Architecture Eraclis Papachristou Architects
Designed by an Italian architect around 1900 as two separate residences, the building was converted into a school for young girls before finding new life as Amyth of Nicosia. For the structure’s grand restoration and rebirth, the entire interior was gutted and reconstructed, yet the ceilings and other historical architectural features were all carefully preserved.
Interior design Maria Neophytou
Inspired by Cypriot art and exhibiting deep respect for the building’s history, the interior allows the structure’s architecture to play a prominent role in the overall design scheme. All materials and colors were carefully selected and align with the wood-carved ceilings, old-style shutters, the painted entranceway floor, and the structure’s stone frame. Natural materials, particularly wood (oak and iroko), bronze, stone, leather, and silk fabrics, round out the warm and welcoming setting.
Food & Drink Authentic elegance
The hotel’s chic restaurant-bar, with its olive-tree terrace, uses local produce and updated traditional recipes to create memorable meals in a divine setting. Warm weather means the chance to dine outdoors overlooking a garden.
