Architecture Leo Li
Through the interplay of raw concrete, stone, and steel, the architect recreates the vibrant construction legacy of the Luohu district, balancing roughness with a sense of delicateness. The façade’s brick-red sandstone texture simulates the rock walls of a quarry, while a horizontal black aluminum grill metaphorically representing Shenzhen’s pioneering spirit of “moving mountains and reclaiming the sea”. Exposed steel trusses pasted with bionic moss serve as visual focal points—during the day, light and shadows form dynamic spots through on the trusses, while at night images of bamboo shoots are projected.
Interior design Leo Li
NOA Hotel Shenzhen presents an urban abstract of beveled corners, sandstone-textured walls, and staggered metal crossbars. An original industrial freight elevator has been preserved, highlighting the crossroads of industry and art. An onsite gallery is committed to discovering young artists and promoting contemporary works that use personal perspectives, humanistic thinking, and social phenomena as creative clues. The result is an inviting, free-spirited social atmosphere.
