Chinedum Nwosu, a.k.a. Shinedoe, began her DJ career when she was still a teenager, with her Inmotion parties (now called Intacto Nights) becoming a hot fixture of Amsterdam’s clubbing calendar around the turn of the millennium. Drawing from a broad range of influences, from Detroit to minimal to garage to her Nigerian roots, the tech-savvy Shinedoe now stands at the helm of Intacto and MTM Records (Music That Moves), two meticulously honed platforms for soulful techno founded in 2004 and 2018, respectively.
I play between 80 and 110 gigs a year.
I take 60 to 90 flights.
I use vinyl records and a USB stick.
Yes, I love it. Traveling means freedom, meeting new people, culture, and inspiration.
Be aware of food, do yoga, and try to catch some daylight!
Sometimes I miss traveling with someone to share experiences with.
I just like living in the moment. So much has happened, I can’t say just one thing now. Drunk people on the plane, drivers, promoters who arrive too late for things. But the best is definitely seeing a lot of the world.
