Miami Art Week is in full swing—bigger, bolder, and more thrilling than ever. Here’s what caught our eye while in town.

From immersive installations and pop-surrealist showcases to groundbreaking cross-cultural exhibitions, this year’s lineup is a feast for the senses. Set in Miami’s historic Little Havana River Inn, Alcova Miami showcases over 40 visionary exhibitors. Highlights include “Something Last,” a tranquil exploration of timeless design by artists like Cindy Hsu Zell, Devin Wilde, and Jialun Xiong, distilling form into its purest elements—shape, dot, line, light, and shadow.

Ananas Ananas sheds light on water waste in food production with their “1,033 Tangerines” installation. A pool containing 17,572 gallons—enough to grow 200 pounds of tangerines—underscores this issue, while stainless-steel vessels offer the fruit to guests throughout Alcova’s duration. Finally, Turkish designer Sema Topaloglu unveils “The Nonconformist Tropical Garden,” a mesmerizing glass installation shifting between kaleidoscopic vibrancy and serene elegance, featuring intricate, candy-like forms evoking blooming flowers and carnivorous plants.

The 22nd edition of NADA (New Art Dealers Alliance) showcases over 150 galleries, art spaces, and nonprofits. This year’s “Curated Spotlight” section is led by visionary Jasmine Wahi of Project for Empty Space. This dynamic program celebrates artistic diversity with Gonzalo Garcia at CAM Galeria flipping societal roles, Bre Andy at Cierra Britton Gallery rethinking intimacy through a feminine lens, and Eetu Sihvonen at Gaa Gallery crafting imagined worlds from history and personal objects.

Liminal Cycles by Lexus

Lexus’ “Liminal Cycles,” a multisensory installation created with Bratislava-based studio Crafting Plastics, transforms the ICA Miami sculpture garden into a showcase of adaptable, responsive technology inspired by Software Defined Vehicles (SDVs). Alongside the unveiling, Lexus has launched a limited-edition capsule collection featuring 26 collectible design pieces by Germane Barnes, Michael Bennett (Studio Kër), Suchi Reddy, Tara Sakhi (TSAKHI), and Crafting Plastics.

Design Miami turns 20, and this year’s edition is all about thinking big. Under the theme “Blue Sky," crafted by curatorial director Glenn Adamson, the showcase celebrates bold imagination and fearless creativity. Highlights include Nuova’s“Time Travel, 1971,” an immersive showcase of furniture, fashion, frangrance, and theater, and Nicole Nomsa Moyo’s “Pearl Jam,” a bold tribute to the Ndebele tribe’s vibrant aesthetic at the fair’s entrance.

Natee Utarit’s compositions blend classical art references with societal commentary

Untitled Art, guest curated by Kathy Huang and Jungmin, dives into East Meets West themes with works from Asian, Eastern European, Middle Eastern, and Asian diasporic artists and galleries. Making its debut at Untitled Art, L.U.P.O. Lorenzelli Projects presents “New Body” in the Nest section (Booth B3)—a duo exhibition featuring Giuseppe Mulas and Seong Jin Jeong. Their distinct yet complementary works explore the intersection of history, myth, and contemporary realities, celebrating the richness of cross-cultural exchange. Meanwhile, Richard Koh Fine Art showcases a group exhibition with Natee Utarit, Justin Lim, and Wah Nu. Natee’s captivating series offers a thought-provoking dialogue, reinterpreting Western art history through an Eastern lens.
