Come mid-July, Palma’s historic heart is set to unveil the hottest new rooftop—a multi-terraced space complete with an infinity pool and incredible sea and city views. The rooftop is the crowning glory of El Llorenç Parc de la Mar, a 33-room property in the Moorish quarter of La Calatrava. The hotel is the second such project of Swedish designer Magnus Ehrland, a creative jack of all trades including fashion and interiors.
And so, mesmerizing patterned floors are found throughout the hotel’s 33 rooms and beyond, echoing traditional Arabic stars and serving as a perfect complement to the hotel’s colorful mix of contemporary art and vintage black-and-white photography.
Apart from the stunning visual panoply of old and new, another highlight on the hotel’s rooftop will be one of the three dining areas overseen by highly acclaimed Majorcan chef Santi Taura. No Moorish-inspired hotel would be complete without a blissful spa. Here, find one gloriously modeled in the style of Arab baths.
