The Robey resides inside two starkly different buildings that each has its own place in Chicago’s history.
The gray limestone structure that houses the Tower Rooms is one of the tallest in the area, and its triangular prism shape ensures that it stands out as one of the neighborhood’s most recognizable landmarks. The adjoining Hollander Fireproof Warehouse is home to the hotel’s 20 Annex Loft guestrooms and an open-plan lobby with a “neighborhood hub” feel.

At The Robey, minimally chic meets industrially raw, with hardwood floors and walls of glass contrasting polished concrete...
and exposed brickwork setting the dramatic tone. Minimalist furnishings, natural materials, and sleek design pieces contrast the rough textures of the hotel, while hardwood floors, Egyptian cottons, and walls of pristine glass feature in many of the guestrooms. The hotel also prides itself on its communal spaces, which showcase terrazzo, natural woods, and hues of red, pink, white, and gray.
