Somewhere’s interiors are sourced from a network of local craftspeople, artists, small suppliers, and businesses to create inspiring spaces designed with the utmost comfort and privacy in mind.
The hotel’s bohemian chic interiors include gorgeous baskets woven from natural materials, such as seagrass and banana leaves. Handwoven rugs, textiles made from recycled fabrics, and tactile handmade pottery lamps bring a dose of contemporary Indonesian design to the spaces. Beautiful art photography in the rooms adds to the overall sense of place. Each villa has a private plunge pool and an open layout that creates a soothing sense of harmony with the bay, the enveloping mountains, and the wind-caressed palm trees.
Architecture SW Design
Inspired by the natural surroundings, the architecture is handcrafted from locally sourced materials to produce a modern look of straight geometrical lines and signature wooden screens.
Comprised of four rows of standalone villas carved into a steep landscape and connected by pathways and staircases, the architecture of Somewhere Lombok reflects its founders’ passion for design and authentic travel experiences. Sustainability consultants Eco Mantra ensured that absolute best practices were adhered to in the conception and execution of the villas, which blend seamlessly with their surroundings.
